    Just like the looming Mac virus epidemic. Weird how when updating antivirus definitions, I see that Symantec regularly updates their Mac antivirus definitions. From what? One wonders if Symantec lives in fear of the Windows platform being eclipsed by a Unix type (BSD, Linux) platform on the desktop.

    What the hell do firearms have to do with a "crookland?" Troll. Just because you don't agree with one decision with the governor doesn't mean "Florida is deffinitelly a crookland."
    Last time I checked Washington DC leads the nation in violence and firearms are banned out right there.

    Well I have mine behind an OpenBSD mail gateway/firewalling bridge and a Cisco Pix 515 :) Though they are patched when I have time.

    Dead fucking right. I like it when I hear about your "testing environment", crap like that. In the real world, you have a VP breathing down your neck wanting that box up NOW. And 90% of the time, the company can live with a halfway secured box for an hour uptime on the Internet so the Sales guys can demo your product. There's a lot of wannabe network adminstrators on here as captain_craptacular mentioned that have nothing better to do then to say "run Linux." Well, guess what? We do when we can but I don't have the time to spend weeks on switching something over to OSS when another part of my network needs attention right now.

    Poking around Tiger and so far I like it but nothing seems revolutionary except Spotlight. Is there a way to make Dashboard widgets sticky on the desktop? Amy I crazy to think battery life on my Powerbook is a bit better now with 10.4?
