I was a VM Systems Programmer in the early 1990s. We had one IBM mainframe that was shared with MVS. We used VM/CMS for, among other things, providing Email and calendaring for the organization. This was before Exchange/Notes/etc. We used PROFS and then OfficeVision. We had about 8,000 users total, of which, about 2,000 would be logged in and active at any one time. Most users got sub-second response time. I was the only admin needed to support that application, and it was only one of several that I supported.
I sometimes think of the above while staring and the spinning ball while I wait for my Mac to respond...
I still have yet to find any programming language that's more fun to program in than REXX, especially when coupled with CMS Pipes.
Maybe what is needed is some software that can remember to download for you? And alert you on those occasions where it fails to do so?
I'm not saying that is superior to your suggestion... just, more likely to actually happen.

There are several forums there where you can ask your question.
This would be perfect for me as a consultant. A typical work week involves getting up extra early on Monday morning to rush down to the airport, park, stand in security line, wait to board, fly, rush to get rental car, drive to client. Total time, door-to-door, about 5 hours. Repeat on Thursday night. This would cut my commuting time down to about 2-3 hours as I live about 15 minutes away from a small airport.

Get a bicycle. Drive to within 10 miles or so of work, park the car and bike the rest of the way. Increase the distance as you become more fit.
I'll second the Leap V2. I've been using one for about a year and it's the most comfortable chair I've ever used.
