Having done my degree there and returning for work after grad I know all about the "policies" of this place. There are so many rogue access points it's hillarious. Picture a 47 million dollar advanced technology building (with hi-def tv studio and VR room) with no wireless access. When I asked why we could have cell phones, microwave ovens, etc I got the royal brush off. I know they're trying to get a lot of press to boost enrollment, but I don't think this policy is something to be proud of.
Didn't they do this already with Eternal Darkness for the Gamecube? Way to patent something years after you put out the product!

I have been watching iPods for a few generations, waiting for all the features I wanted to hit a certain price point. For $400CAD (with my educational discount) for 30Gb and a colour screen, I couldn't pass it up.
Us Canucks in the Great White North still can't use the iTunes music store. I hope this becomes available soon, but I think the first major company to open an online music store in Canada will capture most of the hoser market.
Here at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada we have no wireless access whatsoever. Our all-knowing president (who is a zooologist) is paranoid about the "health effects" of wireless signals (i.e. cancer). What's sad is we just built a $47M technology building that has no wi-fi. The local community college does have 2 buildings fully wi-fi equipped so signals are acquired upon entry to the building (and maybe outside, I don't spend any time there so I'm not sure).

Ordered my 30Gb iPod Photo as soon as I got to work. Anyone know if existing accessories will work with new iPod photo models (i.e. Belkin's iTrip).
None for Celene Dion, that's why we sent her to Vegas.

DVD support is the only reason I keep a Windows partition.
