thank you to whoever modded me up again - and sorry for saying "they suck" - not all are so stupid, and it's not sucking, i guess, just a really bad logical approach towards modding comments intelligently and neutrally (not taking sides on linux/MS topics - which happens WAY too much. i just got modded -1 flamebait for saying MicroSoft is better than linux (flamebait, maybe as in "what do you think is gonna happen on slashdot???") but it shouldn't have been -1)

    for example:

almost as bad as saying Bush is lowering taxes???? WHY! that's ridiculous! they NEED more money in the government

these are not rules. They are the standard that was built a long time ago thinking that this was the most efficient way for things to work. Just because microsoft found a better way of using valid requests does not mean that you have to get all offensive about it. "OH MY GOSH! MICROSOFT MADE SOFTWARE THAT'S PROVABLY BETTER THAN LINUX? your supermarket analogy has nothing to do with where microsoft makes their browsers go faster. keep in mind that this is tenths of a second we're talking about here - so no one's getting EXCLUDED from any content. and in fact, they're getting MOST content faster than they would with crapzilla. If people can't stand that 1/10 of a second difference, then they would try to get a new browser. There is NOTHING illegal with sending a request before the other dealy. It does NOT hurt ANYONE else. It's simply a way of making their browser run FASTER in MOST conditions.
