My most recent project, Doom III, as leaked in the alpha stage and I'm pissed as hell about it. Don't buy ATI because Doom III will run 40% slower on their cards... trust me on that one, I'm making sure of it. Also, I'm getting out of the industry due to hatefull people like you.
The primary reason I feel horrible about all of this is the lack of quality in the leaked demo. Frankly, it looks like shit and isn't representative of the product id software likes to stand behind. But the real problem is - I don't know how to fix it. There is no way in hell I'm ever going to get that overblow shitty code to run on anything but next-generation machines. Everyone expects this optimized game to appear - that demo is optimized! I'm really in a jam here and I don't know what to do.
Yes, carrying a tv over to your friend's house must be much less encumbersome than carting a PC around. I am the best programmer in the world but I can't make a TV weight less than a PC - unless you're talking about those lille 13" kitchen TVs but that would have little to do with programming, just basic physics. I am also a rocket scientist, and I deal with advanced physics.

No, it was purely by accident - at least an accident on our part, but by design of certain other parties. We will be handling some business relationships in the future, but it certainly will NOT harm support or optimization in any way for the end consumer. The latest build of Doom 3 had voip in it, to provide communication within teams but I have decided to remove it since you greedy punks continue to pirate my art. In fact, I'm giving up on the project all together, except for the XBox version which has an excellent voice communicator.

Thank you, but it is too little too late. I have decided to abandon the project, and programming altogether. I find Rocket Science to be a much more agreeable hobby, one less spolied and tainted by greed and corruption. I'm sure there will be a Doom 3, but not with my name on it.
