I'm a long time skeptic and atheist in a family that consists mostly of devout and evangelical Christians. How do you go about opening a reasonable dialog with someone who thinks what you believe is a sin. On the flip side how can I talk to them about religion and science when I view their beliefs as silly nonsense?
The only solution I've found so far is just not to bring up the subject. It makes me feel sad that I can't talk about my beliefs when they can talk about god all day long until they are blue in the face and no one seems bothered by it.
