  1. Re:Reliability on EvDO High-Speed Wireless vs. 802.11 · · Score: 0

Yes, many of the disconnections you experience with cell phones are due to moving, I've experienced plenty of disconnects

MANY!! You are kidding, aren't you? Well, I live in Europe (in Spain) and here a disconnection during a mobile phone call is a very uncommon think. I've never have such an experience; neither has any of my friends or relatives.

I don't know; maybe in Europe the mobile phone service is much better than in U.S.A. Maybe that's why almost everybody here has a cell phone.

Manned travels to other planets ain't gonna be real until we are ready to colonize them (maybe in 200 o 300 years). It's simply an economic question: A research mission can be made equally well with a robot, and at 1/50 of the cost that a manned travel'd have.

Well, the solution is very easy. You can (and you actually SHOULD) get informed about a film before getting your children to it. It can be O.K. for a eleven years old boy, but probably not for kids under seven.

I don't understand why people see Harry Potter as a child product. I'm sure that out there we can find as much grown fans as young ones.

You can't use wireless technology between N.Y. and L.A., or between London and Paris. Well, you may use a satellite link, but with many inconvenients.

The optical fiber is not intended for the last mile, where radiowaves are much butter, but for long distance communications, and to build up the backbone of the Internet.

Yea, well, in the EU Microsoft is a foreign corporation, so the european economy is not so Micrsotf-full. Maybe they could try to do a little more than the USA goverment :)

Actually, the EU has far more power than you can imagine. There are allready lots of posts with good examples. Take a look al them.
