    The m$ programmers crede:
    a) Use of Global varibles.
    b) Use of Global Marcos.
    c) The fetish of *.exe files for executables with universal executable option (lack of file permisions).
    d) The "registry" heal of m$.
    e) Do not issue wire cutters for internet / intranet security with OEM O/S with explict instructions on which wire to cut (HINT: look for a RJ-45 wire(s)).

I sort of see the same issue with the middle man getting REALLY GREEDY here in Canada, eh? Such as when the poor farmer is offered 12 cents a unit for something than by the time it gets to the store, the price is now between 100 to 250 cents per unit.

    OR service charges at you local bank. You put your money in, they offer you squat for interest. Then gouge you in interest rates, service fees and account fees. Write off millions if not billions in bad loans to companies or countries then hassle you for a few hundred dollars IF you miss a payment by a day or two (but you have always paid in have paid) thanks to a glitch within their computer system. Or worse yet when there businuess model says;
    0) is their enough money to cover transactions?
0.a) was their a deposit for this day?
    if so then:
    1) process all out going transactions first.
    2) is account short yet?
2a) IF yes: charge NSF charges, overdraft charges and extra service fees...

    3)Then take in account deposit.
3a) if deposit doesn't create a client positive amount, loop back to 2)

Artists! Stop using the RIAA. Form your own company or go independent!

Up here in Over Taxed White North (fromally the Great White North, before more or less 34+ years of Quebec Prime Ministers/Dictators). The Recording Industry imposes Levies (through another Gov't Agency)(a tax by any other name) on ALL BLANK MEDIA (less HDs for now and dds/AIT etc tapes) for their professional witnesses and soothsayers have determinied that ALL people who buy CDR's CDRWs etc are pirating or copying ALL Canadian artists and as such, one pays more tax on these blank media to compensate the Artist (who for the vast majority do not see anything thanks to creative hollywood/RIAA accounting practices used). So the assumed guilt for anyone who buys blanks will copy Canadian music. Thus the LEVY gives implicit persmission to copy any and all Canadian Music.

My Solution to the "Shriekin' Sheila (Copps) & Celine Dion Tax": One Canadian buys a CD then lets the rest of us "guilty" bastards and bitches copy it.

In the mean time, I will go back to burning backups of data, O/Ss and applications.

Side Note: The last time I bought a CD was at a local Pawn shop, paid $5 for 2 CDs about 4 years ago. I have been ripping and encoding my LPs, 45s and tapes to mp3 / oog format. AND I PAID FOR THOOSE TOO.
