As a brazilian, I second you.
The laws this judge is applying are the same that, in past elections, prohibited comedians to make jokes about candidates. It's just plain stupid censorship.

Social security in Brazil was not privatized... Maybe you're talking about Chile?
Not that we here in Brazil did not ended up with an entire generation living "on the streets" and a handful of super-enriched bankers...
Same thing happening here in Brazil.
The worst is that our beloved president publicly criticized Assange's arrest while our government was trying to regulate the internet. It really makes me sick.
Here in Brazil you can do this. There is a "blank" button, wich means the same as putting an empty ballot, and you can always type an invalid number. In this case, the machine will warn you that the number doesn't exist in the candidate list. But if you confirm that, it will cast your vote as invalid.
But in the end, mandatory voting is just stupid.
You don't have to prove that libertarianism is about selfishness at its base. It REALLY is about that!
But the point is that it should not be up to the government to decide who deserves what. It should be up to YOU. You decide who deserves your money.
If you like to help the "less fortunate", you're free to do that.
Well, down here our goverment do respect their culture. We let them, for instance, kill their babies when twins are born. You know, in some cultures they beleive that when twins are born, one is good and the other is evil. So they kill both the babies, just to be sure.
Ah.. good'ol cultural diversity.
As far as i know, there will be no contact between them and... the rest of the world. Our government (yes, I'm from Brazil) said that making contact would be a violation of their rights (?). So, the idea is to demarcate their land, and let them enjoy stone age.
PS. by "our government" I mean FUNAI, the government agency that takes care of the indians.
What difference does it make if you have to pay 70 small taxes or one large tax? One large tax = pay your taxes yourself.
70 small taxes = pay people to pay your taxes, cuz it's way too complicated and takes too much time to do all the job by yourself.
Comments from Brazilian slashdoters? I always wondered if this was for real. Yeah, pretty much like that.
But, at least, looks like things are changing... Otherwise you'll never get to know about this. They'd just bribe the officers and live hapily ever after.
Good censorship = censorship. Fuck you.

Therefore you can't build a cross platform .NET application without the MSFT side of the code to run properly on windows.
This doesn't sound like a problem to me... On Windows you can just use MS .NET implementation to run your applications.

Sure, it means you can't *know* whether there is God or not. And, as I said before, this has nothing to do with *believing*.
That's not what "agnostic" means... It has nothing to do with believing or not in God.
Ironically the only one who attempted to do anything about it is ... Chavez
You do know that violence increased dramatically in his presidency, right?
Democracy is so much more than just elections...

If you don't believe the guy in a white lab coat, who do you believe? Politicians? Anybody who agrees with you?
Well... I'll stick with the science people.
Yeah... that PhD would make him a fanboy, and not someone who REALLY understands what he is talking about.
Believe-me, it's not AT ALL like ol'USA.
Really.
