but the most important change I would advocate is photo ID for voters. No matter what system we use (paper, electronic, whatever) if illegals can vote, dead people can vote, or even live voters can vote more than once, the results will still be wrong.
Only those who want to steal elections are against photo IDs.
Most people are good people. When firearms are freely available, good people with guns outnumber the bad people with guns. When firearms are severely restricted, then bad people with guns outnumber the good people with guns. I guess gun control advocates are on the side of the bad people.
Yes, it does sound like that, but I had headphones and my choice of radio stations to listen to while the racket was going on. My only mistake was once choosing rock music. Very hard to stay still while "Another One Bites The Dust" is playing.
I'm having an MRI done next week to find out if I'm claustrophobic.:)
All kidding aside, I've had two MRIs in the last few years. I'm not at all claustrophobic, so the tube doesn't bother me; I've been in tighter places than that several hundred feet underground. Just close your eyes, listen to the nice music, and try not to think about it.
But there's a problem there, too. The professional instructional or graphic designers you speak of still have to know the subject being presented. And they still have to know the audience they are trying to reach.
In my business it goes like this -- "That was the worst presentation I've ever seen." -- "Let's hire a professional next time! -- "Very nice presentation, but we're not children; we're professionals, too." -- "Why did we spend so much money on something one of us could have done?" -- "Are we going to have to sit through another one?" -- "Let's decide to do something else."
Ah, but some of the worst PowerPoint presentations I've seen were done by professionals. Sometimes they're overdone and something simple would have been much better. Just because the bells and whistles are available doesn't mean we have to use them when they're not needed. I guess what I'm saying is that not all professionals should be "professionals".
"None of the candidates should know in advance what questions they might face."
Hillary will never, ever take questions that she hasn't seen in advance. In all of her so-called town meetings she went through the questions and chose the ones she wanted to answer. That's why the Democrats wouldn't debate on Fox. That's why you'll never see her interviewed by anyone who would ask the tough questions. Everything she does is scripted down to the last letter.
It may be too late for the United States. We've been so lax on guarding our borders that we've already seen numerous cases of TB. A disease that we virtually eradicated last century is back.
Here is a link to a story that has received very little attention from the national media, but it's something that scares the crap out of people who live there. Thank you, "open border" people!
A literal, pure democracy is two lions and a lamb voting on what's for dinner. Pure majority rule is quite dangerous, despite what you may think. A republic buffers it to some degree.
Many of the people I deal with don't know what "cut and paste" means, because they use the term when what they really mean is "copy and paste". Both operations are handy to use, but are two different things.

Can you imagine the smell? It would have to be worse than any plane or bus smell.
You're right. Police usually arrive after the crime takes place. All the more reason for armed guards or even armed employees.
I believe I could predict the results. :)
But not as the one who designed the presentation. :(

Science debate? Don't think so.
Go ahead -- flame away!

I live in the United States, a country that was NEVER intended to be a democracy.
Google is good at what they do. I'll defend them when they deserve it, and I'll slam them when they're being horses asses (like this time).
Hell yes I'm biased. Now will anyone else admit it?
Not lately. LOL!
Of course they are, but they should admit it if they do.
Being a liberal is standing on your head and telling the rest of the world it's upside down.
Oh, this is just a case of Google doing what it damn well pleases. They're showing their true colors and bias.
Finally, there's hope for some of the geeks here to get laid.
"Schrödinger may or may not have slept here."
Maybe you'll have to use a character from the Klingon alphabet!
Yeah, I've been waiting on 802.11z anyway!
It's not even good art.
I don't know if a little jail time will force her to grow up, but it's worth a try.
Yeah, obvious to us, but not to them.
