Exactly. This person who "reviewed" this app seems to be lacking about 8 years of background into what exactly this program really does.
As oft noted, this is not a raster program, even though it does raster images as well. It's a vector program, always has been since it was first distributed by Fractal Design way back in the 1.0/1.01 days - I still have a boxed copy of that version and version 3.0 before Microsoft bought Creature House.
I swear, when "stuff" like this becomes news at Slashdot, it's a sad, sad day.
This might tie into XAML later, that's about as interesting as this might become. But right now, they've renamed and messed up - as well as removed the Mac version - a good, unique program that was named Expression.
Flex is a $12k server based Flash tool, not the more friendly $500.00+ utility like the Macromedia Flash IDE.
'tis not the same thing. It's a start though.
What I don't get is why they're making a big deal out of the SOAP availability. It was present in Flash Player 6.0... at least on the Windows/Mac side.
Then what do you classify what you're doing? Only problem I see is that you not only harvested the information, but you made it public. That would still fall under entrapment via the DMCA, if I'm not mistaken.
I'm against piracy; but I think your approach has left the social experiment zone and entered into the possibly illegal zone all too quickly.

You might want to give these guys a look. Outside of that, I'd suggest looking at Lightwave and Cinema3D r8 in that order.
Good luck with your decision(s)...

Doubtful. There's not a good publishing tool for SVG that's considered an "industrial heavyweight" as of yet.
Gaming won't really change... heck, I'm still waiting for my flying car.
