In terms of concealable weapons Canada has 10 times less per capita then the USA. Plus there is very little in terms of gun culture here, very few people want to own guns.

The bicycle is just the product, it doesn't pay anything.

It's works many places. I just travelled to a bunch of countries in asia, australia and new zealand with an IPod touch and the maps app invariably gave me an exact location. In places like Singapore it was outstanding, it could give me precise location down to the street corner as I walked along.
Right... Because Microsoft are really losing sleep over the negative comments posted on slashdot, so they have assembled a crack team of slashdotters to game the moderation system in their favour.
Falcon 1 contains something of an abort mechanism. Half a second after launch a diagnostics check is done and if anything looks wrong the mission is aborted and the rocket remains on the ground. This protects the payload from being destroyed if the rocket does not fire exactly as expected.
And I would add: What the hell does Silverlight have to do with IE anyway? It sounds like the guy doesn't know what he is talking about. Silverlight runs in a browser called IE, erm yeah that's about it.

Not really, since most linux users also run windows. This is just from my experience, but I think I am correct, there are very few pure linux users and they probably don't play games. So the untapped market you speak of is tiny and the windows market is huge, so there is little incentive.
If The cost of a class action suit (or lost business in this case) is X, the number of defective products (or victim here) is A and the cost of each recall (or refund here) is B. Then if A*B > X you don't do the recall.
So most banks will probably reckon that refunding these customers (thereby giving their other customers a false sense of security that they will also be refunded if this ever happened to them) is worthwhile. Otherwise they would lose a lot of money in lost business. But if the amount stolen was a billion or whatever, no way they would refund.
That reminds me of that Ali G skit, where Ali tries to get some US government dope to admit that terrorists are planning to run a train into the whitehouse.
That is one side of indie game development, but there are hundreds of real, innovative indie games out there, that are just as valid as Doom or any other big budget game out there. Look around for them. You will suprised.
