Shatner's "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds", "Mr. Tamborine Man", and "Rocket Man" are some of the funniest things I have ever heard in my life. I was literally hurting from laughter when I heard these for the first time.
The video that goes with Rocket Man (from some 70's Sci Fi awards show) is even better. I felt bad for Bernie Taupin having to introduce that performance. My aunt told me that she saw Shatner on TV performing Mr. Tambourine Man. Apparently, he was hiding behind boxes or something "dramatic" like that. I would love to see that if anyobody has it on tape.
