Nuclear power plants can't explode(at least nuclear wise). They can get a little hot though, and Spew nuclear waste everywhere.

    Ya, I've tried it.
    It takes FOREVER to boot.
    It takes FOREVER to install.
It will break in a heartbeat.

Just running Win2000 for my USB flashcard reader, I've had the following problems:
    1. Video that wouldn't leave 640x480(at 32 bit)
    2. TOTAL loss of Mouse/Keyboard(try fixing that one)
    3. An install that would nolonger boot.

I know this is beta software, but it seems like it still has aways to go.

The USB support is pretty good though. Better then 98.

    Want to screw up Win2000(NT5)?
    It's pretty easy.

Step 1: Install the Logitech mouse driver.
    Step 2: Reboot.

It's pretty cool, you lose your mouse AND keyboard. And no, it doesn't fix the problem for you, even if you run the repair functions.

Have you tried Win2000 Beta 3?

Once you have, you will know how wrong you are.
Being forced to work on NT at work(at least for my workstation) I fear for the future. If anything, it is MUCH worse then NT 4.

I'm just waiting for VisualCafe for linux.

We have been using WinCVS to connect to a Linux CVS server for about 2 months. Zero Problems. I've never used Visual Source Safe so I can't say which is better but CVS is very nice.

BTW, another project at our comp. disliked VSS so much that they also switched to CVS.
