  1. Republicans censor? on Star Wars Most Violent Movie Ever? · · Score: 1

Why would the Republicans censor movies? Do they have a history of Censorship? I know the Democratic party does. Clinton signed the V-Chip bill and Al Gore's wife Tipper spent many years getting 2 Live Crew and other "Offensive" music banned/rated.

And movie censorship is currently not government based all. Nor has it ever been.. It is done by the MPAA. Granted the MPAA started the rating system so the government wouldn't censor.

    Just my 0.02.

My other major complant about Novell is how deep into WinXXXX Netware inserts itself. Couldn't it just map the drives and be happy? And don't even try to keep Nwtray.exe from loading. Move the Boot partion to a new drive: It boots but it does an auto logout on login. Not really useful. This worked fine in NT.

Installed a 3rd party mouse driver that died (This time it was a Win2k driver): Why are the mouse and the keyboard controled by the same driver? This seems stupid to me. If this driver dies, you are fubar. And once you have booted correctly once, you can't change to a working driver(No keyboard or mouse).

    • If nobody was actualy going to see it, why bother? General population is NOT going to believe that a small millisecond flash (most would only see it on photo anyway) was a nuclear explosion.

If I remember correctly, the USSR concidered a moon a-bomb as a show of power but descided against it. Feble little flash on the side of the moon wouldn't be worth the trouble.

It's built in speaker DOES really, really suck, but who cares? Lots of people seem to be missing the point of the Espresso. With an espresso, you kind of have to "live off the land". Just about everywhere you go today has a keyboard/moniter. Why carry one, when you can just "jack in" to one that is aready there? 2 weeks a go, I decided to give Wk2 a go at work.
It lasted just under a week. It WAS stable at first, but as the week went on, it started going downhill. On the second day, VisualCafe's Java Virtual Machine(1.1.x) died unexpectedly a couple of times. I didn't think much of it, but on the third day, it started to die more often. Every other time I launched a Java program, the JVM would die instantly. Even a reboot didn't help. On the forth day, Win2k started locking up. Everything was would be running fine (WinAmp at least) but no mouse or keyboard. It locked up 4 times, each requiring a reboot to fix. Finally I just decided to go back to Nt4, since it was still on my system. That is when I found the unexpected "benefits" of Win2k. At some point it updated the version number on my NTFS partions to version 5. Now, Nt4 tools will no longer work. Diskeeper will not do boot time Defrags and when booting off of the NT4 cd, it doesn't recognize the partions as valid.

Moral of story, YMMV. For basic use, Win2k seems fine. But if you need to do real work, be cautious.
