This will be shot down eventually (pun intended) b/c the us army needs to get kids hooked on america's army. If this law has any effect the powers that be will find a way around it.
The only way to keep kids off of games that will screw up their minds through violence and disturbing imagry is through parental control. The government has it's hand in the cookie jar right now, and it's too late for them to do anything about it
Yes, this is just a california bill; however, california has enough people that I think the army will notice if all their GI potentals stop buying america's army.
anybody know any statistics on how many america's army games are sold in CA vs. in the rest of the US? How much army recruitment in CA vs. the rest of the US?
Newton had the mechanics of orbits worked out about 400 years before people were able to put it to good use. We should investigate anything and everything we can, we don't know when it might be useful.
With a small modification to this system you can accomodate most of the situations in which mail needs to be instantaneous. Most companies already have more than one mail server. Use one set of mail servers for internal mail, these servers wouldn't greylist and wouldn't be resolvable by dns (dhcp perhapps). Thus the important email from the ceo goes through the internal mail server and is routed to your mail program. If you have someone outside who must contact you give them the current ip of the internal mail server so they can send.
Whenever the mailserver IP changed (once per week/month) you could email everyone in the company with the new IP. If the IP was released to the public in some way, you could change it and email everyone.
This doesn't allow home users to have instantaneous email, but it will work for companies.

Usually with a pilot's liscence you can only fly small private prop planes. This is cool, but a bit limited.
With a simulator like this he can get any airplane he can think of, and if he installs X-plane he can fly any airplane he can design as well.
- 5-8K for a pilot's liscence and a cessna
- 4k for every plane in the world and more
