    The ones that do the same thing, only poorly, will fail. Like linux on the desktop? The ones that end up costing more to implement than the commercial application, even if they do it better, will fail. According to some sources this is true of Linux. I don't have any answers, just obvious statements to debunk idialogs.

    Actually, when the sun enters its red giant phase it will envelop the earth. Seriously, if the Sun and the earth were the only two objects (no third body problems, PLEASE!!!) and they were point masses then it should from a newtonian perspective always revolve with the same speed for all time. If only Newton was completely correct...

    First of all you cannot continually recharge a cellphone by using its battery to vibrate and use the vibration to recharge it. You can recapture some of the energy, but you will lose more than is gained. So you wouldn't want to vibrate it uneccisarily.

    Sure it is... Sorta like it was too late for Internet explorer in 95 when everybody had and loved netscape. Or when AOL was synonimous with the internet. When the internet first started to gain popularity in 96- 97 people would be at my house and ask if I had aol. I would have to explain that i did not, but I did have internet access. They were thought that the internet was owned by aol. But look at aol now.. losing money and subscribers at an acclerating pace.

    Proof does not exist in science, only evidence. No credible scientist with a command of the english language would claim to have proof of anything. Remeber, there are not any "Truths" in science, only theories which are simply the best current explanation.
