What about the Slashdot trolling phenomena? i.e. when slashdot links to wikipedia don't click any links...
Isn't slashdot wikipedia's biggest vunerability?
Ubuntu may well be running all over NASA's Moffett Field soon...
Did everyone miss that are are they just not aware that Google want to build a new campus and research facility at Moffit Field....

RABAT, D.C., Morocco, March 24 (UPI) -- A Moroccan publication accused the government Monday of providing unusual assistance to U.S. troops fighting in Iraq by offering them 2,000 monkeys trained in detonating land mines.
The weekly al-Usbu' al-Siyassi reported that Morocco offered the U.S. forces a large number of monkeys, some from Morocco's Atlas Mountains and others imported, to use them for detonating land mines planted by the Iraqis.
The publication quoted a highly-informed source as saying, "that is not a scientific illusion but a well-known military tactic."
My mom fought off the other moms in K-Mart to get me one of these. Parsec and the Speech Synthesis module rock.
Too bad on that Atari, Intellivision ruled.

There cubes ALWAYS have the fancy add-ons...
Don't even try to explain that extensible starts with an X instead of an E unless you're speaking in ebonics, and in that case, mad props.
Actually, the correct ebonics pronunciation key would be asktensible

In-Flight Reboot?

I was on an airbus flight leaving Dulles to San Francisco in the middle of the dot com days. We hit maximum thrust on the runway the front wheel lifted off then the plane shutdown. The pilot had to "Reboot" the plane (his words). First we had to sit there for 15 minutes while the brakes cooled.... Then the best part cam, they called in the mechanics to fix the computers..... Now this plane was filled with computer people and only one got off. I was sitting in the first business class seat at the isle so I had a good view of the cockpit while the mechanics worked on the computers. They pulled several avionics parts out of the plane (about the size of a ammunition box) then replaced them while taking to the technicians in San Francisco. About 2 hours later we took off. I'm still alive today.
Now this isn't possible under XP: I have friends with XP laptops, and they have to shut down and restart when they change from mode to mode: Wired, wireless, unwired. The corresponding proxy changes, DHCP changes, etc, also require fiddling with the network control panel.
You need smarter friends.
Have them look at netsh NT faq on netsh
, you can change the networksettings all you want and not reboot.
Uh, check the postal success in countries outside the US and you'll get a good understanding of why they won't ship to you. It took 3 months for me to ship a package the size of a standard brick from Turkey, and it wasn't even heroin packed inside of camel dung.....
Smartass? I think not. Real programmers use a source control system, there is nothing better then finding that bug that a "senior" sodtware engineer put in the code when he/she wasn't so senior.
There is no better way to leave your mark than a clean checkin with a good comment and even a reference to a bug id.
Viable to geeks and freaks. I still can't see giving Linux to my mom.
Mom, you should update to the latest kernel, you can finally get that firewire camera to work if you download the latest GCC and compile this and that form here and there.
It's surprising because it actually got published in something besides the Journal of Completely Obvious Discoveries. I hope they filed a patent on their method of coming to a conclusion.
I was looking at the Raelians' website after the Linus story then, after leaving the site my Safari browser unexpectly quit.
Could the Raelians have some secret plan to use a buffer overflow to exploit my computer to attack their critics?
The i began to think, is the Steve Jobs religion just to incompatible with the Raelians? I mean, who needs two god like icons. Steve in his black atire could be the Anti-Raelian, afterall why would he let anyone clone Steve?
Still Broken an all the Safari builds.....
I've personally submitted the screen shots several times.. and I've seen where other Safari user's have complained.
I do like the site and the content is good. But my current browser chooses to censor my available reading material... Is it an Apple plot?
You need to expand the depth of your paranoia. It was only deep enough to scare away your CTO. At little deeper and you would have had a backup CTO in a secure location in anticipation that the first would quit and take everything...
The funny thing is you never had anything of value in the first place, well except the employees that left...
> But note that "generics" or "parametric types
Generics are much more than typed containers, I'll have to read more on the Java implementation. The most useful part of generics is of course generic algorithms.
Hopefully java generics are more than the hijacked "Design Patterns" they gave us with JavaBeans - a Java "Design Pattern" is to name a getter as "get" and a setter as "set".
This is the real man's version control system... if I could only count the number of developers that wish they had Clearcase at their current jobs after having worked with it at a prior job.
No download is necessary ???? Then what is http://download.yahoo.com/dl/sbcy/dsl/dslreg.exe that the link points too?

I have a set, they work, the only additional software required for Direct 3d and Open GL games is the "old" 30.87 Nvidia drivers (hint look for consumer 3d on the nvidia site).
Nvidia has a JPS (Jpeg Stereo) viewer that can be used to display 3-D pictures. The 3D digital pictures are probably the most enjoyment I have with the glasses.

You still need GLONASS because some of the most detailed Topo maps of Asia are useless without it.
I can't wait to forward all the spam that accumulates at my ISP account....
I remember checking it a while ago and even with their spam guard I still had close to 20MB of spam that slipped through.
I figure that if you search for Viagra in google the first link will be to my Gmail account.
