You're just supporting my point, the US political climate is severely fucked up.

"Socialist" is thrown around as an insult, because you can't even be bothered to understand what it means. Your political debates are dominated by idiotic catchphrases, that are just mindlessly repeated over every single media outlet ad nauseam ("flip-flopper" was particularly bad).

It needs to be cleaned up, in a bad way.

A lot of dumbasses seem to think that everything bad in the world must be on the opposite side of the spectrum from them. And since most of the idiots are rightwingers, they think everything bad in the world is a leftist plot.

Putting islamic terror on the left is only one example. There are a bunch of people running around seriously claiming that the nazis were socialists and leftists, solely because it was called "national socialism". Because obviously the labels that countries and groups apply to themselves are 100% correct and never wrong. Like for instance the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, which as we all know is extremely democratic and serves the people first and foremost, right?

And no, Twitter should not be regulated as a common carrier. They're a short form blogging service, nothing more. They are not a vital line of communications.

The greatest scientific advances of mankind have all come from the various space programs. No, they were not "found in space", they were developed right here on earth because the space programs created a need. Were it not for the space programs pushing science forward, many of the things you take for granted either wouldn't have been developed at all, or would have been developed much later. Stuff like velcro, food preservation, insulation, all kinds of stuff that you use every single day without even thinking about it.

350 liters is a lot, but the batteries in current electric cars take up a lot of space, too. Admittedly, batteries can more easily be shaped in weird ways, such as making a "skateboard" chassis with the batteries in the floor. Then again, maybe that could work for a fuel tank, too. The low CoG is nice, in either case.

But those 350 liters are for a 1000 km. My current car does about 700 km on a full tank, but it wouldn't be a major issue for me if an electric car with a flow battery only did 500 km or maybe even 250km, as long as refilling it still only took 5-10 minutes like with gasoline.

250 km would mean ~87.5 liters, if everything scales linearly, which is the size of the gas tank in a lot of cars today.
