If we're talking about Castlevania specifically, and not the knock-offs, then the series has still produced generally great games. there are a few notable exceptions (aka, any Castlevania game that occurs in a full 3-D environment), but the 2-D games on Game Boy/GBA/DS are downright awesome, and while a little short on length, excellent successors to what i still consider to be the best 2-D side-scrolling game ever made, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (for PS1). just like i didn't play the original Castlevania purely for the story, i still don't play any of the games since then for it either. getting upset over the color of the main characters hair, or the fact that many of them haven't been Belmont family members is just ridiculous, because the underlying games are still engaging and fun. and, isn't that the point?

prior to 5.2, i was having weird make errors when running an SMP kernel on Hyperthreaded Xeons.
basically, during any sort of heavy make, the make would error out with a segmentation fault. this was using a GENERIC kernel with only the two SMP options enabled. the same system running a non-SMP GENERIC kernel would work fine.
in addition, while running full load (setiathome for example) the two processors would peak at 50% load. now with the new SMP code, they both top out at 100% and otherwise act like a true dual processor machine.
one last bit is that SMP is now enabled in the GENERIC kernel right from the start, probably in anticipation of large amounts of HT p4's and Xeons.
i completely and totally agree. I have a Timbuk2 bag as well, the El Ocho (medium size) messenger bag with one of the laptop sleeves also produced by timbuk2. I'm an onsite network technician/all-around computer repair guy for my company, and i can carry...
- my laptop (Fujitsu P5020D.. somewhat small)
- my billing binder
- two medium size CD cases full of CDs
- my GameBoy Advance SP and 5 games
- my iPod (on the nifty strap carrier)
- my Nextel i90c (also in a nifty strap carrier)
- all my cables, pens, and loose little bits
- a decent selection of tools
and, it's comfortable (get the strap pad)!!!
in addition, you don't look like a moron carrying a filing cabinet on your back. the bags are handsomely made, and even with all that crap in them, they lay pretty flat and sleek against my back.
