Might I suggest you start with Knopix running off the cd. Then using the method suggested by Knoppix install it. Since Knoppix is Debian based and has a very complete set of games and apps this might solve some of your concerns. I would suggest sending the kids home with a Knoppix cd and a pamphlet for the parents. just my.02 yogi
