Those "authorities" actions are just more grist for the comedy mill. Whoohoo! Better to laugh than cry. See our cartoon spoof on SARS, renamed "SALS", severe acute limb syndrome: http://www.officepolitics.com
Hey Coward,
Thanks for writing this summary on getting started on open source game development. The slashdot's mod's low score was totally off-base IMHO. It was exactly what I was looking for. We are thinking seriously about releasing our game code for 4 reasons: 1. Speed of implementing new ideas
2. Share the learning we've done (and it's been expensive!)
3. Leverage many programming brains instead of just a few
4. Keep the costs down so we can keep developing!
Your posting is a help. If you have any suggestions (directly related to our game --> http://www.officepolitics.com ) please email me.
Thank goodness I read your post! You may have saved our financial skins. My husband has been hi-jacked for jury duty. We wondered what excuse might set him free...(butcher? blowhard? bigot?) How brilliant to state the truth. He's a nerdy computer programmer who actually works for some game shop called Nerdheaven.:-)
