OK, IE is the king of malformed HTML. It can take all the sh*t in the world and still run. Good job coding the parser.
But what about valid code? What about standard code?
I'd rather have full XHTML 1.1 support and abstrain from visiting sites made by monkeys with typewriters , or by Frontpage authors, than have an uncrashable parser for a browser who chocked on the proper XHTML content type.
I'm a Mac lover, owner and fanatic. That being said, I do acknowledge that most of the advantages of OS X come from having to deal with a more restrictive hardware set.
If they were to release a OS X version for x86, then they'd have to have a way to also support most of the x86 hardware out there, and much of it is bsod-inducing crap. So, I don't know...
There's nothing wrong with capitalism. And anyways, open source makes A LOT of sense from a business point of view for MANY companies. It seems very ironic that people insist on putting down capitalism, the only system fostering the kind of freedoms required for such open exchange of ideas and freedom of association.
I hope that site maintainers patch the software themselevs, as opposed to waiting for this beast to do the work for them :)
