Engaged? What are you from the hills? Marrying your sister. Jeesh. What next? Inbred human clones?

I don't think cold will do anything bad for you. Condensation will, but in theory, the colder the better. Look at the overclocking sites. People have run computers at liquid nitrogen temperatures which is much lower than upstate NY (I'm in Wisconsin so I feel your pain--although it was 51F today). Your problem will be with the lcd. Most lcd's do not like working in cold weather. Get a remote starter and let things warm up before you get in and you will be good to go. It's the poor bastards down south who have the problem with all the heat!

Ok...so Microsoft did something. Are we all supposed to lay down and say, awe looks like someone made a wordprocessor, no need for me to build this better one which will be able to be customized and support exactly what I want. Yeah I guess we should just give up and let Bill Gates think for us. Sure...that's it. Get real! I DO NOT want my car saying...follow the butterfly...or better yet BSOD anyone?

The mini-itx form factor board you mention doesn't run any of the mentioned chips. It's powered by VIA's (Cyrix) low power solution.

The original version you also mention will not play dvd's without a separate decoder card. The new series EPIA-M (M being multimedia) has a built in mpeg-2 decoder.

Never the less, VIA is succeeding where Transmeta failed. These are great little boards.
