  1. Re:Cancer-proof mice/rats? Bad news... on Breeding Cancer-Proof Mice · · Score: 1

My sister had a mouse, once. It had a tumour almost as large as itself on it's hip.
Unfortunately it died because she forgot to feed it, rather than from the cancer.

Quarks are particles 'inside' (that compromise) other sub-atomic particles. Therefore there are many of them.
    No problem.

Up to 2/3 of your liver may be destroyed (or poisoned) and it will still function correctly. I very much doubt that anything like this much will be affected by this process. Therefore it is safe to assume that there will be no percieved effects of this treatment other than the positive!

  5. Developing a Tiger Economy on Chinese Launch 4th Shenzhou · · Score: 2, Insightful

What China is trying to do is a very good idea. If it locally produces all its own 'stuff' (Computer chips, space craft etc..) it provides people with jobs.
These people can now afford to buy more.
There is a larger demand for products, and for a rise in quality.
Therefore more people get jobs, and better ones too.
    Repeat until rich.

South Korea and other Asian countries are doing just this to immense sucess. Japan did it, and they are a economic super-power.
    Think before you speak, people.

Because, of course, a single-celled organism is just going to bust out of a truck and go around eating things. If they were so dangerous, they would have broken outta the ice long ago and eaten people. There is a difference between nerds and geeks. Nerds are useful, geeks watch too much Sci-Fi.
