This is the dumbest thing I have ever read. The aspect ratio is determined by the 35mm film, not by the "equipment". The widescreen version will NOT have boom mics, etc. in the shot.
I think you've watched too many documentaries and seen the Video equipment that captures what the film camera shoots.
