Seeing as they are shifting from a decentralized communication/discussion system to centralized advertising/propaganda delivery system, you have to wonder will the rubes using it keep using it ? Or even notice.
There you go US Based and more computer/tech oriented.
Just a suspicion the Guardian was used because Pravda isn't what it used to be and the Russian State organs are now about Russian Nationalism not communism.
They want things to be fair. Things are currently not in their favor. I refer you to census.gov American Community Survey. Take a look at the data before you speak, please.
They want things to be fair, and in their favor ??
Hold on, I linked to two google images searches - both of which had hundreds of images of oil refineries or offshore wind farms.
Yeah because a random image search shows you how ugly anything can be.
How about you post side-by-side pictures of an oil refinery you consider as attractive as a wind farm?
I don't consider oil refineries attractive or windfarms attractive. The only the plus refineries have is they don't usually ruin scenic vistas the way wind farms do.
They are taking US dollars and building their country with it.
That must be really flimsy construction material and god knows what their fire codes must be like.
I eagerly await your reply on how either the lizard men or the underpants gnomes are stealing our capital inflows.
Can't argue with reason, so resort to petty insults. Good stuff.
That's a question son. Just where do you think our capital inflows are going ?
The original argument, which you've tried so hard to avoid, is that cash hand outs to the poor has proven to be be an effective strategy to stimulate local economies.
No they haven't, and if you would stop making horrifically bad arguments, you wouldn't be displaying facts about yourself that are insulting.
Take the example of a hydro electric plant. You can run that at peak to meet demand, but if you try to do that all the time you will exhaust your reservoir. Any contribution you have from solar will not be happening at night, co generation is lower at night etc.
The greater access everyone has to primary source material the better. When most people are only learning about new discoveries from mass media that cites research papers, much is lost and bias is introduced. The results of research should not be a walled fortress for the elite in-crowd, but an open, accessible library of knowledge for all.
How much you want to bet you aren't getting the raw data ?
If you look at the original calculation it's incredibly weighted to favor lower than actual charging needs to begin with.
If you want to do things like say electricity demand is low at night, then you have to start figuring factors that you will be running peak dispatchable power instead of lower cost baseline power.
call it replace 80% for a round 200 million electric vehicles
For overnight charging call it a nice average 12 hours
Call them all very low end 50kwh batter cars
Call it quarter charge on any given day 12.5KWH
lets see that gives us (2x10^8)*(1.25*10^1) = 2.5x10^9 KWH every evening divide by hours to get KW Generating cap 2.08x10^8 KW =2.08*10^11 watts of generating capacity
Spending creates jobs. The trickle-down theory pundits assumes rich people do all the spending; economists have noticed that higher-income individuals actually save a larger proportion of their income
. I know how fractional reserve banking works
No you do not. Anyone who can whine that saving isn't putting money into the economy when that is exactly what fractional reserve banking does clearly doesn't have a clue.
Not a government program. There's a profit potential--it's more per year in total than Warren Buffet's life savings--and thus a market.
You basically just tried to characterize all apartments as a massive government housing project.
You know when you start to construct strawmen whole cloth you might as well just say you are trolling.
Imagine you could rent a 244sqft single-occupancy apartment for $300/month. Not big, not fancy, but it's something, right? It's cheap. They put pocket doors on the bathroom and bedroom, so you don't have to swing the door through this small-ish space. It's a place to live, it's got a kitchen, it's well-insulated so utilities are cheap, it's out of the rain, what's not to like?
Renting tiny apartments at small margin to people with little money => Bad investment

Tell me again about how you find that beautiful.
BTW are you still enjoying the favors of 7 year old girls ?
I am confident because I have seen and analyzed the observational data myself.
Anyone who thinks they can understand the unfairness of life from looking at a census report has to be the greatest fool ever to walk the earth.
I'm not the guy trying to push wind farms as pretty
Photos of the professor with under age children have been appearing all over the internet.
People have been puzzled why the material was on otherwise innocuous sites.
That says a lot about the state of US reporting, A lot of US hard news articles are UK newspaper based, and not reported much, if at all in the US.

beauty is subjective
But anyone who disagrees with you is a liar.
Gtocha chief.
Your intention is quite clear, It's unfair to millennials that things are not in their favor.
Your arrogance is also quite clear, "Anyone who disagrees with you hasn't seen the data"
They want things to be fair. Things are currently not in their favor. I refer you to census.gov American Community Survey. Take a look at the data before you speak, please.
They want things to be fair, and in their favor ??
Yeah that about sums up Millennials
Allrightee, how about we just cut the bullshit & go back to your original statement - the one I'm calling out as dishonest:
Says they guy who started the bullshit with.
Sure, beauty is totally subjective
Hold on, I linked to two google images searches - both of which had hundreds of images of oil refineries or offshore wind farms.
Yeah because a random image search shows you how ugly anything can be.

Ironic. But keep going and see where that gets you.
I am pretty comfortable with it. I am so comfortable with it I have shown this thread to others for laughter and may copy it elsewhere.
Even fewer honest people fabricate what others say
Those pictures are about as pleasing as a triptych of oil refineries in NJ
vs
rate an oil refinery as more beautiful than a windfarm.
Honest people also accurately represent their material

So are you illiterate, uninformed, or just pushing an agenda ?
I'll agree. Those pictures are about as pleasing as a triptych of oil refineries in NJ.

In general, reducing the difference between peak and baseline should improve costs. It's cheaper to add and run baseline generation capacity.
Sure build a coal plant to supply it.
Also, none of this has any impact on your claim that the whole of the additional demand from EVs needs will impact peak demand.
Strawman much ?
They're wanting to do a lot for $5
They already have a successful product

Yes and absolutely no foreign capital never ever comes into this country /sarcasm
Ever heard of the Trade Deficit? http://www.tradingeconomics.co...
You really have no idea how horribly funny you are. Do you think the Chinese are sitting on a giant pile of dollars ?
Here's our capital account surplus

Which is also the reason I used actual numbers.
Nope. You need to use peak needs vs max capacity otherwise you'll be putting the country into a brownout.
253 million cars in the U.S.
call it replace 80% for a round 200 million electric vehicles
For overnight charging call it a nice average 12 hours
Call them all very low end 50kwh batter cars
Call it quarter charge on any given day 12.5KWH

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
US generating capacity 1068 Gigawats or lets round up 1.1 TW or 1.1 x 10^9 watts
Gives us increase in US electrical generation needs of 20% in addition to replacing all those cars.
I call propaganda.
