    Well, DUH!!

What fucking genius modded this up, anyway?

Dude, even the people who thought they might have wanted to agree with you rolled their eyes at your posts in the MS/Antitirust Forums at the New York Times.

Fans of James Joyce might groove to it, but most people just dismiss you as a troll, even when you're right. Why don't you register an account, use normal English, and quit linking to trustworthycomputing.com (which merely redirects to here) in every single post? You've been doing this at NYT for... close to 2 years now? Maybe it still seems entertaining and novel to do, but to the rest of it, your joke was is well past being stale. You may now proceed to grow up a little, please.

BTW, a traceroute on that domain winds up here. Fnord.

Man you keep bitching about this. Let me get this straight now. You are bitching and moaning about the fact that you have to type --with-xml when you build it. ... So because you are too dumb to know to type --with-xml and because you are too lazy to actually read the manual and because you are too blind, high and retarded to follow the instructions when you type ./configure you have to actually write XML parsers using the built in regular expression functions.

You've managed very well to miss the point by a country kilometer, O Clueless One. Let me lay it out before you in nice simple Sesame-Street lettering, so you don't miss anything:

Out in that magical, mystical wonderland known as "The Real World", there are a lot of PHP developers out there who
    DO.
    NOT.
    HAVE.
    ADMINISTRATIVE.
    ACCESS.
    TO.
    T HE.
    SERVERS.
    THAT
    THEIR.
    SITES.
    ARE.
    HOSTED.
    ON.

This means that they CAN'T upgrade or augment PHP whenever they feel like it. This doesn't mean they're ignorant or lazy.

How often have you been able to get your typical hosting service to drop everything in order to recompile PHP just so little ol' you can have that cool extension you'd really like to be able to use on your site? Or letting you do it? ("Sure, laddie, here's the root password to my employer's server -- recompile and reconfigure to your heart's content." Not bloody likely.) Most commercial hosts use the standard distribution of whatever, and that's that. If you want a feature that's not included by default, you're SOL.

This is exctly why MySQL and Postgres (and now GD) were included in the default build. So that people developing PHP-based sites on servers that they don't own weren't deprived of these useful features by the incompetence, impatience or laziness of those who do control them. (Or that of their PHBs.)

You, sir, are a short-sighted, loud-mouthed, thoughtless, elitist fucktard.

But seriously -- FrontPage sucks dead donkey dicks. (Can you say, "IIS/MSIE only?") No serious site developer I know uses it. And no-one is going to take seriously anybody who admits to using it. You may now resume playing Tomb Raider with one hand while jerking off over Laura Croft with the other, fucktard.
