pt is the recommended standard by the w3c. Not only that, but it does indeed work and is totally overrideable by the users browser just as xx-small, x-small etc are, except that with pt you get more than 7 options. Actually, no; you might be a Mozilla user, in which case, yes, pt can be scaled by changing the text size, but IE won't change text size unless you use the "size" attribute. Just another reason to use the better browser...

  2. How much does that change? on SCO Awarded UNIX Copyright Regs, McBride Interview · · Score: 1

Does having a copyright of the code that contains the lines supposedly stolen by IBM boost their case at all? It doesn't seem like it, as the issue is not whether they own the code but whether IBM copied it line by line or not. Also, their moves to contact companies currently using Linux sounds like a very RIAA business measure to take.

According to google, it's a browser-based RPG with fantasy characters like dwarves and elves. It seems like it would be hard to instill murderous inclinations in someone like that even if the game was a realistic portrayal (statistics-wise, I imagine, since this is a non-visual browser based game) of some real world situation involving guns and violence, but a fantasy game?

I think it's interesting in a sense; criminals in a virtual world kind of add an interesting dynamic to the game. I don't see the problem with it unless assets in the game had real-life worth, which has obvious negative implications and probably requires some standards of conduct. I guess the penalty would be having your cd key blocked, a la Blizzard.

I'd rather just have a non-sucky UI for finding inside the bookmarks file.
Listen, I'm as big a Mozilla fan as any, but I'll tell you the problem with this method: When your computer restarts randomly (and most certainly maliciously) while Mozilla is open, your bookmarks file is very likely to get corrupted; that means that either the file will be deleted in the scandisk check (because this only really happens to me in Windows anyway, never in Linux) or it will be impossibly mangled. Either way, you lose all your bookmarks. It's a pain in the ass.

  7. I'll give it a shot, but... on All-New PowerBooks, Web Browser Featured at Macworld · · Score: 1

I'll try out Safari, but I have a funny feeling I won't be regressing from Mozilla. There isn't a browser out there that has such a productive open source community. The huge libraries of frightfully useful plug-ins (after mouse gestures, I've found that using IE is incredibly tedious) on http://www.mozdev.org are just too good to pass up. I won't doubt that Mozilla is somewhat slower in load time, but rendering time is relatively negligible, I'm sure.

Sure, I'd love to work at Microsoft and have four hours of leisure time a day (at least, according to the article), but do I want to risk the embarassment of working for the company who makes Windows Me?
