Of course! We haven't really seen an up-swing in the stock market either. Everyone is in this horrible unstable limbo, riddled with fear. Fear for keeping your job, fear for not being able to find another job.
Maybe.... we haven't had a layoff in a few months. No raises or bonuses yet, and we've hired a total of 3 people in my immediate area over the past 3 months.
The real question will be when will we start seeing more hiring to aleviate the huge amount of work loads left on people that held their jobs?
Nothing that is so, is so. War is good for the world... that isn't so! The empire must appear virtuous, and not just unadulterated violenace. They follow the template for empire quite well, don't they?
I bought the original Rio, I bought the RIO mp3-cd player, and I even had bought stock. I was hoping that they would turn it around after seeing their advisory a few months ago. It's too bad that SonicBlue didn't capture the digital media market, they entered too early.
I guess when the big coporations started selling their mp3 players it was all over. Damn.
I know a lot of people who are required, for their job, to write both Java and C++ code. Are templates really applicable to those developers? In other words when you switch back and forth between the two frequently do you resort to the lowest common denominators of the language instead of using more "advanced" aspects?
My J-Developer friend was just telling me the other day how he longed for templates in Java.
National... international, who would govern this blacklist of spammers?
Mail clients should just give the option to deny people without a proper certificate. If certificates are hard to get than blocking a domain of certificates would help block the amature spammers.
Yep, the good ole definition of terms. Those who define the terms being used dictate the conversation to the rest of the audience.
Example: The US's actions are honorable. If honorable means good for the sake of human life and respect of the fellow man, that could change the conversation than if it were honoring the idea for no more mass-destruction weapons.
Yeah, the problem is that a highly US-driven mono-culture is sweeping the world. This mono-culture is best described by Daniel Quinn as Takers/Leavers, or if you will gorts and gortbusters.
Fundamentally, Life is killing. There are only two pathways from that statement: blasphemy and sanctity. You destroy a culture to implement english, Mc Donald's, Ford, and Victoria's Secret... much difference than expressing tolerance, preserving that culture to be remembered, and holding the people of that culture as equals.
How about if you have multiple computers and multiple monitors? One is your work station, you hack up your code, write your documents, and do all your e-mailing and slashdot posting.
The second is your media-computer, you have Winamp, XMMS, Windows Media player or whatever you want there. Your vast array of digital media can't be matched, but you're so tired of downloading poor quality Simpsons, Futurama, Dilbert, and dare I say it - VIP - episodes. Slap a tuner card in this bad boy (and did I mention it had a nice 24" flat screen monitor)? Before ya know it, you don't download those episodes anymore, you just watch them on that screen!
Because nothing that is so, is so. We're not really there to rid the world of weapons of mass destruction. Believe you me, there are plenty of other places in the world (like our own backyards) where we can find horrible weapons.
I think Saddam just realizes he is screwed. It's like if a mugger comes up to take your wallet, so you take out all the dollar bills and rip them up and say HAH!
Yeah, it blew my mind trading in my awesome truck for a little hybrid!
I had lusted over the 2000 F-150 lightning for a long time, and before the f-150 lightning I had a big extended cab 4x4 F-150 (97).
The problem is that being able to drive over hills, threw streams, and haul crap is cool. Walking around saying you got awesome gas mileage is not... at least not for our age. Makes me feel a little bit older when driving it.
I'm 6'4", and yes my legs do bend while I'm in either of those cars. The center divider in the Civic does get in the way a little for me, but it's not too bad.
In the brochure at the dealer, I think the SULEV is available for the Civic... maybe as an option? I'm not sure on that.
Yeah, when the next person standing next to ya will do it without hesitation for equal (or less) money....
Of course! We haven't really seen an up-swing in the stock market either. Everyone is in this horrible unstable limbo, riddled with fear. Fear for keeping your job, fear for not being able to find another job.
Will you accept an unstable job, working in constant fear of the next day and the ability to pay rent?

Ah, for the head-hunters to return...

Then maybe these people shouldn't get the stamps/certificates or whatever. Or maybe Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, etc should know to deny these guys.
I already sold it... I KNEW someone was gonna score a funny moderation point off that one!
That's an interesting one... Sony products do resemble the quality that the Rio line had.
I dropped my original Rio on hard tile floor once. The front little controll pad popped off and the battery fell out. It still works to this day.

True that. Not using the STL is like saying you will rewrite the entire Java API for your application, save the base Object.
Some people say they use the good ole void* instead of a template. Those people sometimes do memory debugging for months.
Now I know what it's like when doves cry.

Cell phones, power lines, wireless LANs... we are doing a good job at radiating our bodies with electromagnetic radiation.
I wonder how the cancer rates will look like in 80 years...

You hit the nail on the head error0x100, a fellow gortbuster indeed!
One of the only groups to realize this truth is the native americans, and they're having a hell of a time dealing with the bulldozing culture.
Let's start a new form of french called Freedom French! You can include any new words you want!

Of course, we'll be all up in there toting freedom fries and SUVs before ya know it!
Perhaps because people want to see things blow up (has anyone seen but one explosion yet?)
Power: The control of or unremitting desire to control the physical world by any means necessary.
Virtue: Self-sacrifice for the sake of truth.
Truth is the enemy of power.
--Cactus Ed Abbey from template for empire
We'll be seeing exploding civilians sometime soon... riiight.
Transformers? Let's be honest, we all want Battlemechs.
