Seriously though, be good to see the same sort of chart for operating systems, that might give us a bigger picture.

Not really a good year for Linux companies maybe, most of them still don't seem to be able to make much money.
But GNU/Linux weren't started to make money for anybody, just to make a better computer system. It's my perception that almost all the distro's and software that I use improved this year, to the point that some of my non-geek friends were impressed with Linux. So...a good year for the Free Software Community, and for those that use their products.
My prediction for 2003? Better software, more choice and slashdot still to be around...

In Soviet Russia, Linux trys you!
Not really a good year for Linux companies maybe, most of them still don't seem to be able to make much money.
