Titanium Dioxide Dye solar cells have been around for a while now. What is limiting them is the 'speed' at which and electrons are donated from the dye to the conduction band of the titanium dioxide semi-conductor and the re-filling of the electron hole after it's traveled through your circuit or the grid (if that's the case). There are two ways to improve the 'speed'; the first being to use nanotubes of TiO2 which constrains the electrons to specific quantum levels (band states) in the semi-conductor. Then there is less of a chance that the electron will in-advertently run into hole as it migrates out of the solar cell. By the way, it doesn't have to be TiO2 either, but any broad-band semi-conductor. The second way is to improve the dye so it can donate more electrons when a photon hit it. It sounds like this is what these people have done.
Here is site the tells how to make your own TiO2 solar cell using raspberry juice as the dye.
I went to high-school in KS 20 years back, and back then science ruled (NASA, electronics, and evolution). It's a sad state when Bull-shit rules by proxy morons. I agree; STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.
Well, let see.... 87Million to sue a slob linux user. ROFL. So SCOX, I dare you to sue me! ROFL.
First, and last, what code am I using that you have anything, even the barest of claims to have rights to, that I'm infringing on in any respect what so ever? Where where where?
Yeap.. I know, this is redudent.. but so are SCO's arguments. What's new is 87Mill to sue some poor end user linux dude. That's going to suck. Lol.
It really doesn't matter where S3/Via places in the ballgame of 3D. What really matters is that they OPEN THE HARDWARE API!!! That is all that the OpenSource community wants. The old S3 would probably do OK, but instead of supporting 3rd Party developers, they avoid them. Nvidia, while closed source, listens to the developers and incoperate that advise, which is why I support them. Will ATI
or S3 do the same?
I agree. I'll stick with Nvidia on Linux... somewhat grumbly about the closed source nature of the drivers. I do love Nvidia implementation of OpenGL and they are always on top the latest there even with Linux. Heck, with a small hardware hack to my GForce2 card I can have true 3D stereo. Where is 3D-stereo graphics for the other cards... Specifcally for Linux??? I could care less about DirectX9, a proprietary standard for Micro.... (Kiss
their ass; give-em your money) soft. I'll stay with
Nvidia until someone decides to open up there 3D
drivers.
"While our SCOsource initiative has already resulted in revenue of $15,530,000 during the last two quarters and we continue negotiations with other industry participants that we believe may lead to additional SCOsource license agreements, we are currently unable to predict the level or timing of future revenue from this source, if any. "
Doesn't Novel have a 95% take on those revenues as the Copyright owner?
Now I've had my SCO fix... ahhhhhh
SCO should release the code that *we* linux users are alleged to be pirating. You have to wonder about why SCO has not directed some group to remove the code(s) they claim to be theirs under their copyright. There are no excuses; It's not under trade secrets any more, and looking at what is supposedly SysV code in no way taintes the users; in the same sense that reading a paragraph from an unpublish novel taints the readability of novel to future readers. I think the only reason they have not pointed out the code specifically, is that they DO NOT KNOW for a fact that the code in Linux is a line for line pirated copy of thier supposed SysV code. Additionally, code the IBM contributed to Linux under the GPL is, what I understand, a highly scrutinized, completely and wholly IBM IP.
It's like if I posted a copyrighted picture on my website and some third party writes me and says "you are in violation of my copyrights. I will license it to you for 1500 bucks" and you follow up with "which image is it?" He replys "Oh.. ahh.. I can't say... but it has blue in it".
Seriously though; when you are talking an installed base of 2.4+ million servers and a better number of desktops linux users now. SCO Group is just full of hot legalize wind blowing crap just to extort money from the linux community. Now they are trying to claim ownership of linux itself..
Unbelievable!

Right on!!! Everything you said is 'right on the money'. Still, you need to have some *balls* and a good legal support team. A nice, well designed letter exchange and you can probably blow the BSA off.
