The bug reporting is a good idea, however because of the way some sites are built it will never be totally compatable across the board.
The web system I work with nearly daily works in IE5/6 on the PC only. I don't fully understand it, but from what's been explained to me it has something to do with the way IE on the PC hooks into the OS. Hell it is the OS, but anyway since no other browser on Earth can call the same way IE does on the OS no other browser will work with this web system.
Now the solution would be to reprogram the system so it doesn't use the IE only speicifications, but that's not a choice left at this point.
It will still be some time before everything is cross compatable, and a lot is left in the hands of developers to do it the right way.
Technially if you don't live in a state with an acitve Apple retail presence you won't be charged tax. That's if you order it online.
At least that's how it was a while ago, who knows if tax laws haven't flaked out yet again on internet sales with retail presences.
With the reduced pricing on the G4s lately it makes me wonder if Apple has finally picked a new flagship chip to use coming soon. It makes sense to get rid of as many G4s in stock if this is the case, and with the recent drops on the eMacs it's even more aparent.
All in all it seems a wise move to start the price dropping now when it is most needed. Hopefully an eMac that's both Classic and OS X bootable for under 1000 will be very appealing to schools. Apple needs to start clawing back it's Educational market share.
Give it about two weeks and everyone will forget what happened. Seems as though every time there is a net problem that effects 90% of the population it's big news and "a must fix problem." But we still have virii. Nothing has changed.
So unless something is proposed in about 14 days, the masses will forget about it and it will loose it's panicy ferver that distrubing the masses unleashes.
Rome, the highlight of civilization back in the day, even fell once corruption got it's grip on the once proud and functional government. That same government which the founders of Americas government chose to base it. Could it be perhaps that it is coming full circle again? Will America eventually fall as a modern Rome?
