Americans need to wake up politically and start making Congress work for us rather than for business.

I think you've missed the point if you try to do object oriented in Perl.
If you want to do objects, use a language that was invented with objects in mind such as C# or Java.

Actually, the camel book is quite good. When I run into a problem in Perl and look for the answer in the camel book, I often find it.
