Is it ever possible to depict any New York disaster movie that won't somehow evoke images of 9/11? Yes, of course the images are similar, but I don't see it always as an allusion, at least not the only one.
And yes, I'm in NYC and I was there during 9/11. Not that that gives me more or less of a right to talk about it.
