the 7 inch netbook is a great travel laptop small light gets the job done. even with a tablet that can do simler things its just not the same. you should look at those new amd apu netbooks they smoke a atom in preforance and are still netbooks not priced insane.
i still have love for my 7 inch eeepc 900a. and really it still does what i got it for surfing and movies.even with a tablet of the same size and more powerful i still enjoy using it.
i dunno if a ultrabook will ever take over the old laptop desine. if you put a big quad core cpu and a huge gpu in a ultrabook you will have a melted book. they will be in the same line as the slim laptops are the low speck bunch.

hd-dvd vs blue-ray was just who had the most money to win. and sony used that to make lots of bribes to film makers not to support hd-dvd. years later i still don't own a single blue-ray disk because dvd is good enough.

just from my house there is a open hotspot 2 wpa ones and 3 wep ones lol. wpa takes more time to crack then wep being it still needs the password brute forced.at least where i work they must have a smart admin working all there buildings everything is wpa2. but walk across the parking lot to the residential area bam open hotspots all over the block. point is the problem is far worse then you think, most wifi spots are wep or open,
still at 2gb of ram that just stupid. its been at 2gb sense the original atom n270. and its lack of official Linux support this chip is going to flop harder then windows 8. at least they said the next atoms will once again have Linux support this chip is more a shut Microsoft up chip then anything else.

its not illagle to sell any of those things without approval from fcc fda etc. but it has to be branded it is not approved by said agency's.
