I hate when companies advertise or promote their product by putting down the competition (Comcast, Pepsi/Coke, Miller Lite, and so many others). If your product is that good, you should be able to sell it by telling customers the reasons to use it rather than reasons to not use the competition.
I can get linux up and running from a stage 3 gentoo install much faster than I can with Debian. Any why wouldn't you custom compile all you packages? Isn't that a big part of linux -- being able to customize everything?
It might not be a new idea, but you can't possibly compare the resources of Adobe with the resources of GIMP.
