No need to get caught up in the xmas rush. Save your money and just join us mac users for our Christmas at Macworld.
Honestly though, so what is Vista/PS3 or the Zune is delayed/restricted? You're only disappointed if you wanted these items in the first place. The Wii is here and that is just one example of a tech product for christmas.
Just like the governments of the world didn't already know this. NOBODY GIVES A SHIT, don't you know? Its so far into the future nobody cares, nobody thinks of the children so stop posting all this shit on slashdot. I gladly await our deserved destruction.
When my old iBook was new, I could get 5.5 hours out of it. It was a G4 1Ghz. Of course I had to take everything down to its minimum, no airport, slow CPU, dim the screen and so forth. But its hardly practical anyway is it? Now I have a G4 12"PB with a space battery and don't limit myself like that. Now I have 7 hours of battery life.
No matter how much you pay for a PC. You'll never get OSX. Its worth it for that alone. Your original point is irrelevant anyway since there isn't an exact equivalent PC when comparing one to a mac.
Personally Event Horizon was his best film, it got silly at the end with the Black guy floating through space, bouncing off the ship and the poor special effects in that scene ruined the mood the film had.
I'm cynical of terrorism because we had the IRA and the British public by and large shrugged off the London Bombings and carried on with life (apart from persecuting muslims), while I suppose the US, its a new thing for them and have to deal with it for the first time.
I think you missed the point of what I was trying to say. Its not rule by fear, changing the ignorant attitude of the British public to be something better than what it is at the moment. At the moment I think we have a smug attitude towards foreign countries and their human right and we have an apathetic attitude to our own because we think we have it good. Once we realise we don't have it good, people will rebel against our over bearing government (it is already overbearing enough because we live in a nanny state, never mind the CCTV cameras, they are not what's wrong with this country) and things will change for the better.
"Once you've truly lost everything will you realise that you're free to do anything."
Big deal, its endemic, I say there still isn't enough cameras and all the camera's are in public places anyway. I'm being watched every day by somebody as it is and I think its fear mongering by this study group. It isn't 1984 yet nor are they being used to the detriment of our society. As long as they are not in our homes and there are no secret police who pick you off the street KGB style (that work with relation to the public cameras) I'm okay with it.
In fact thinking about it while writing this paragraph, I want the secret police as well. It'll put fear back into the delinquent children running amok in this country. If we take away some basic freedoms and restrict the public, they might realise and appreciate what freedoms they had and they won't be as apathetic as they already are.
If we stop thinking about how poorly other countries have it and stop pretending to be smug about our own state of affairs, once we KNOW they're gone, this country will be a better place.
I agree with everything you said because thats what I meant, I had hoped I explained it enough to show that I understood and want to further expand and put across that what the parent had said, was plausible. The only trouble was I couldn't really articulate what I wanted to say this morning very well and had hoped somebody wouldn't pick my point apart too much.:)
With regard to the last sentence, we weren't talking about the quality of the camera sensor. I was just thinking the parent poster was underestimating our level of progress from now till 2016.
I had read in a UK photography magazine that in the near future, photography will actually be captured on video. Instead of using a camera to get the decisive moment captured in a single frame, photographers might use high resolution video technology to get their shot (lazy maybe?). You can do it now if you wanted, my Fuji S7000 (6 megapixel) shoots in video mode but the resolution sucks (640x480). Put a res of 1600x1200 at least and your original idea is off the ground. All those images shot together, then seamless added together, you got yourself a gigapixel image!
The entire movie, Corpse Bride was shot using 2 or 3, 16 megapixel Canon cameras just so you know. (Obviously, those images from the movie are placed after one another instead of being placed next to each other).
By the way, in the 2016 most cameras (including the shittest ones) will be well over the 20 megapixel mark. A lot of them are now, the highest you can get (as far as I know is 16 megapixel canon SLR and I read somewhere that Hassleblad have a 32 or 64 megapixel camera for sale.
A higher education discount is one you can obtain when you are in university, on a degree course. You also have to purchase it off the university network, that means you can't buy it from home or online at work. The Apple website does a query and lets you in when on the uni network. After that, get what you want. The 3 year parts warranty blurb runs down the side of the store screen once you gain access.

Archaic Grammar Nazis, I love it!
Thou does not see the problem that you mention of.
I'm not complacent, In the grand scheme of things, unless you contribute to society, nobody's life matters.

How about a metal fork with a plastic handle?

I'll cook some scrambled eggs off a heat sink from the xBox 360. How do I get to look really stupid on Slashdot? By using a metal fork! Well done.

If anybody thinks this will amount to much, really?
"You there, at the back, you have your hand up, no? Oh it's your hat, sorry my bad."
Skip it then if you got a problem and wait for Lion.

You mean i get liquid explosion?
I'm surprised no 12"PB owners have chirped up. I have a 12"PB and there is no heat issues, "it's all a bunch of shit" :)
What did you expect, honest answers?
You're welcome.

Thanks for letting me know, use as it is. Good job I don't have any DVD's myself!
Download VLC, it can ignore the region encoding on a given machine even when it has been set to a particular region already. Try it, it does work.
