I have a 15" PB and while i "have" used the bluetooth its only because my uncle just bought a phone last week with it and sent me some pictures when we met up at a wedding. Since then i realised my phone has bluetooth but because it nokia it doesn't work with the PB.
Nokia seem to implement something into their phones which causes incompatiblity...i dunno why either.
Anyway, 2 people i know have used it and this is in little ole' england in a town called blackpool, not exactly one would think of as being a techno savvy city.
There isn't one considering i killed the software myself to install Open Office when i had a PC......i'm on a mac now and i use Appleworks.
MS Office = Junk btw.

Anyway, i seem to have lost something here, the GPL ISN'T in the public domain? I thought it was because anybody could pick it up and use it. I seem to be missing something here.

If not why not because as long as they all make them work with their printers you would still have a lock-in. What if HP was selling ink cheaper than Lexmark? You can't buy it because of your printer brand, but i can go to the petrol station and fill up with nearly any fuel with any car.
I downloaded it and gave a copy to a friend and he doesn't have the net...i can't of been the only one.
He also has a second hand ipod.
Also he is buying a PB soon as a secondary machine.
In some ways its working for Apple.
...that Open Source programs like Gimp level the playing field and can give us an option. I finish college in a couple of years and i am a practising Graphic Designer, if this shit isn't sorted out i might as well go open source, there might be more than just GIMP around to let me get my job done.
