  1. They better watch it on British Police Demand Access To Encryption Keys · · Score: 1

I had a discussion previous with an attorney friend of mine and even now if a court orders you to give your encryption keys and you dont, they can charge with contempt. Frankly I give give a shit. I dont do anything illegal, and it is my personal property, not theirs. Since when did it become a crime to have privacy? I am not above the automated destruction of the computer itself to ensure they get nothing permanantly. Things just keep getting worse... for their sake they better watch whos toes they step on.

  2. Great Idea on AMD Takes Case To Public, Japan · · Score: 1

Though in some respects this seems like AMD is whining, I certainly do not see any evidence of them being in the red.. far from it. They got bucks and are not hurting. Certianly they will not lose any existing customers over this either. The thing is, it is obvious to anyone that something strange is going on when vendors sell little to know AMD chips, despite the fact that test after test shows their chips stomp Intel almost (I said almost) all the time. Their prices are not that much higher if at all.. definately more bang for the buck, and vendors constantly sell higher cost/ended pcs to those that want it. I certainly think that there is unfair and bad business practices going on with Intel, and they deserve to be smacked for it. The fact AMD is doing it civily allows them to collect damages, (which they should be able to if Intel is proven guilty) was smart. Everyone knows that this pathetic adminsitration with the corrupt DoJ wouldnt do anything anyway. And they have nothing to lose. And lets face it... so far the evidence is quite compelling. AMD is not stupid... they watched and decided enough is enough.. Intel needs to pay. And after the Microsoft fiasco.. who can blame them for sueing civily?

  3. Source Code on DVD Decrypter Author Served With Take-Down Order · · Score: 1

Does anyone have the source for DVD Decrypter? I have the app but would like the source to post on my website for others to download. I am not afraid of the RIAA or the MPAA and if anyone wanted to continue development secretly than that is fine. Of course I know that reps and lawyers from them are reading this, but I dont care. Anyone interested please let me know at synapsefyre@cox.net or IM on Yahoo me at synapsefyre.

  4. I love AMD on Dell Might do AMD · · Score: 1

Personally I had an AMD Thunderbird back in the day, and that little chip was dropped on the tile floor, and consistantly ran hot, like aroud 140 degrees, and never skipped a beat. In fact, my friends now own that machine and it has yet to foul up on them. Adn teh thing still runs hot. But I made the mistake of falling for Intel's higher speed and got one. Not really any issues with it, but didnt see that much improvement. But then I started reading the reviews.. and when a co-worker needed a PC, I sold him my Intel and I got an AMD64 3500+ 939 socket with NVidia 3. Personally I dont look back.. not one issue at all. And fast... much faster than my P4 2.8Ghz. Now I run exclusively AMD systems and build only those for people. I work for one guy that is Intel only doing multimedia, despite the benchmarks, but thats okay. My computer is an AMD64 :)
