One of these comments in one of the blaster articles had a url to Blaster source code. Anyone want to de-fang it, and throw on an anti-Blaster app? Chances are the stuff that's been hit isn't secured against it yet, so simply hitting it with a modified Blaster should get rid of it, right?
BTW, the name creator packages take keywords, add their own, and give you a name. So if Efficient was a keyword, I would get names containing the word efficient. (BTW, EfficieonSex was one I got by using Efficieon)
What about the pirated version on C|Net Downloads? (Yes, it appears to be pirated...) http://download.com.com/3000-2064-10214501.html Oh, and it gave me this as a no-keywords result: GiganticSex (giganticsex.com) - should I buy the domain? It's available;-)
(replying to my own post - forgot something) I once had an Apple PowerBook 180 (I don't trust Apple because of that box - took 6 months to fall apart and need a $300 mobo swap), and the manual said that turning off the backlight used 2/3 the power of the laptop with full backlighting. That's why I said what I said in the parent post.
Never mind that the Opteron is a whole different class of CPU (64-bit as opposed to 32-bit). Wanna bet that it'll whip a 3200+ (forgot the real speed) Athlon XP, too? Besides, Intel is making their CPUs with the highest clock speeds that they can, by killing the efficiency of the CPU. Look at a Pentium-M and a P4-M at the same speed. The P-M will kill the P4-M. For that matter, try a 1.4GHz and 1.6GHz Celeron. The 1.4 is based on the P3, whereas the 1.6 is based on the P4. I read somewhere that the 1.4 would beat the 1.6.
Shoot, some DSL providers (Sprint, at least) use bridges that have a router built in (never mind that it's hard-coded to only accept one PC, so it only works as a firewall...)
I noticed that her only hobby is dancing. A geek would (unless she wanted to hide it, which would not make her a true geek unless she were still in elementary/middle/high school) say computers...
Her server runs Apache on Linux with OK uptime (as opposed to Windows), but she herself uses Windows (looks like stock Dell XP - the PC is a Dell, and the Windows logo in IE looks like an XP logo).
Windows with spyware, too. See that little yellow thing near the top of the IE window? It's Hotbar. She is running Apache on Linux, though. Her uptime's rather good. It's a shame I can't vote anywhere (not 18), let alone CA (I'm in OH). I don't know who I'd vote for, but...
export-config.bat: @ECHO OFF regedit/e:a puttynew.reg HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY copy puttynew.reg putty.reg del puttynew.reg
This exports the registry key, but doesn't delete it. Use it on a computer you want to keep PuTTY on.
cleanup-config.bat: @ECHO OFF regedit/e:a puttynew.reg HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY copy puttynew.reg putty.reg del puttynew.reg cd "Program Files\PuTTY" putty -cleanup
This one adds putty -cleanup, which tells PuTTY to wipe it's config settings. Use it on a public PC. Better than wiping the stuff using REGEDIT, as PuTTY stores some SSH stuff in the Windows directory or the home directory (depends on whether you're using 9x/ME or NT/2k/XP/2k3 - home directory is usually at C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\ on 2k/XP/2k3)
import-config.bat: @ECHO OFF regedit/s putty.reg
More simple, huh? You don't need to import the deletion key for this - I tried wiping the ExecPC entry on putty.reg, wiping my own PC's entry via REGEDIT, and then importing, and both were there.
Some source - but I'm not sure that it's actually Blaster...

2000 could. Strip all of the options and it'd be 750MB. Somehow strip IE and use LiteStep then you could fit lightweight tools on.
Windows 95 fits in under 4MB. There was an article on a 4.47MB distro, but right after that the one I mentioned appeared.
Wrong. A gun can be used to prevent evil caused by knives/swords/large objects/etc.
DAMN! Putting in Linux got me EagleLinux - a real distro! And LinuxMs - there's a parody called MS Linux.
At least they could have used EfficientScreaming. Throw on a GeForce4Go, and it will be screaming...

For that matter, just use B&W active matrix. No backlight needed unless you're in a low light situation.

Automatic update can be a month behind. I don't trust it.
Worse, my 2k Pro SP4 box doesn't even say the patch exists on Windows Update! And, it appears that it's not installed!
Hear about the text of the e-mail it sends to Bill Gates?
"Billy Gates why do you make this possible? Stop making money and fix your software!!"
Hmm... I wonder if the developers of this worm run Linux normally... It might even have been developed on Wine!
Shoot, some DSL providers (Sprint, at least) use bridges that have a router built in (never mind that it's hard-coded to only accept one PC, so it only works as a firewall...)
Take that back. Look at the second pic. There's a linux book on the windowsill.
Didn't see that. That is the picture I saw, BTW. Now I saw the keyboard. Looks worse than a MS natural.
MOD PARENT UP!

Better yet:

Nice, but how do I make my FrontPage web use it? I've got it on my IIS server, but I need to convert my pages to PHP. Any quick way to do THAT?
aah, I see this guy's mistake. this site is selling both the one tg is selling AND a lower end model. the $16.95 one is the lower end one.
