What if everything they release is awesome?
I love everything I can think of. Maybe I am so blind that it makes me think all the apple crap I use is really good even though it is bad.
Ok, that is cool too though, because I am still happy.
Ok, just so I can understand...
1) What is the popular view, does everyone want such high security so they themselves don't die?
If that is the reason, I don't want it anymore. I will take my 1/10000000 chance of dying for this pain in the butt security.
2) Are we doing all this security for the safety of others?
If that is why, that's fine, I've met a lot of nice people.
I think the target of this deal is mostly business.
Biggest gain is for frequent fliers.
Most frequent fliers are business travelers.
Businesses will be more than willing to pay a few bucks for this feature. $50 to any business is like a penny to the normal folk.
Business travelers deserve something like this. I travel a bit for my job, but there are some at my company that travel constantly. I would love something like this.
Plus, the cool thing is, for all the people who don't like big brother... Don't sign up!!!
We use it. If done right, I can see it working ok. Too bad the 'do it right' guys are busy doing other applications.
In our current implementation, I can say this...
At least once a day, I go to a co-workers desk and say:
"Hey, come here and look what Remedy just did."
If nothing else it is a good laugh at least once a day.
Yesterday, this guy came to me and said he opened a ticket to just to view it's status, and that triggered an e-mail to the user stating he had started the change request. Then, he tried to change the status to say he was not working on it. It e-mailed the user again saying he was working on the ticket again.
My best friend and I are 25, we knew each other since kindergarden. We know each other. He has heard me talk nothing but praise about Apple my whole life. He just bought his first computer this year. I could see it in him. He had NO reason to get a PC but because everyone else has one.
It was pretty sad to witness.
The only people that want to buy Macs are those who admire quality. Not just those who admire quality, but those who are willing to give up a few dollars for it.
My friend is not one of those people.
I second that motion.
No customer would be able to hand a design to a designer. They never have any idea what is technically and reasonably possible to produce.
That would stir things up.
MS should just pay each Apple switcher 1 billion dollars to come back to Microsoft.
I guarentee that would work. Save face, the MS way.
I dare anyone to compare anime to our classic Looney Toons.
