I do agree. I am neither a sysadmin nor a netadmin, but I have to take care of Windoes boxes. I run GNU/Linux.My GNU/Linux box runs well for 4 yers and nerver comprimised or craked altough I download many thirdparty software. Security flaws accusation was on the agende when 98 released. Same again. M$ is still missing the point. Blaming others is not a solution to all.
I do actually agree. people do get addicted to things or grow habits so easily. This is also another factor of resistence.
People grow a relitonship between pc and oneself , Ttherefore anything different then actual situation or new,is unlikley to be adopted.
Habits die hard.
I do disagree. HTML basics and standarts are fine. So you do not need IE rendering as long as you are free of errors. Mozilla, Opera, Konqueror, Epiphany and other are so fine.
If all those works fine then IE. So you do not need that.:)
Hi all.I do experience the same problems when I try to convince people to migrate to linux.The problem is that many people are scared of computers.Using a concole is easy but not for scared ones.Many issues are still missing for the windows users as they are accsutomed to it. Such as language modules, spell check and others. Besides normal ordinay people likes things eqasy. Linux on the other hand lets you have the control. Windows is more like servant compared to Linux. Linux user is in command,while windows not. Many people would switch to linux as long as they are enforced to.
