Do we really need all these extra functions on a mobile phone? I still use my phone mostly for calling only. It's still not sure if the next generation mobile phones (3G) will be successful. I think most of the people don't want all these gadgets.
I wonder if these pictures are the most detailed that Cassini can make. Because I would like some more zoomed in pictures. Galileo and Voyager also made this kind of pictures. SO what's the difference, I'd like to know.
It looks like someone came up with just another theory. I would like the see the theoretical evidence that supports this theory. Because there are other theories that say that the universe will collapse again, due to gravity of dark matter.
No, These pioneer-probes are much farther away. More like 12 billion kilometers. I think ESA is going to use these antennas for their probes at one of the Lagrange points.
I think solar sail propulsion is the most likely system to be used in the (near) future. In July the first test mission will be launched.
When the system is found succesful NASA plans to use it in future probes, like the Interstellar Probe. That thing would travel 200 AU (Astronomical Units) in 15 year. Much faster than the Voyager and Pioneer crafts.
Another, more controversial, propulsion system is Nuclear propulsion. Technical information can be found here
It may be cheap in comparison to the possible Iraq-conflict. The biggest problem with fusion reactors is the time to develop and build a working reactor. It will take at least 30 years to master the reaction and produce more energy than it costs to start up the reaction.
30 Years ago they said the same and see how far they have come yet. I once visited a fusion reactor and they said money was a big problem. There are not much companies interested in funding a project that will only become profitable in 30 years.

But -272 K can be -272.49999 K or 271.5 K. So we need more information to check your statement.
