  1. Re:Something Smarter Is Needed on Cornucopia of Spam · · Score: 1

As far as I knew most Spammers simply relayed their mail to offshore or out of country at the very least. In Canada there are no such regulations as for sending Spam en masse. The problem is that most people don't have the time to sift through what is spam and what is not. The sheer burden of proof in a lot of these cases would be largely impossible to voercome.

  2. A Tad suspicious on Cornucopia of Spam · · Score: 1

I like the idea of the antispam research group however, I see one major problem with it. The ASRG chair is a member of cipher trust a company whose ironmail sollution is way off the map as far as Spam goes. I am just a tad bit sensitive to that. We use a program that uses text algorthyms to deal with spam and we hit 90% which is acceptable for us.

My note to my 12 year old self would be relatively simple. "Dance lessons were not the way to get girls that you thought they were. It is one hell of a way to get your arse kicked around the play ground"

I actually remember the first time I had heard of Shift was about three years ago when they had an article on Michael Stipe and his film company. From then on I became an avid reader and follower of their site. I think it was well written and really diverse in their scope. I saw them at Comdex Toronto last year and should have pretty much known then. I wonder if anyone did a study on the profitablity of companies who attended Comdex in the last few years?
