4. What if I'm a UK user who already has a Gmail address? Will that address ever change?
Unfortunately, we don't know. We would love to say that your address will always remain the same. But the trademark issue is still unsettled, and unfortunately, we cannot predict what the other party or the courts might do here. You can always use your same username with an @googlemail.com address to avoid this issue later on. But trust that we will do the best we can to make sure your email address won't ever have to change.
5. What if I'm a UK user who already has a Gmail address? Will I also need to change that address?
No, this change doesn't affect existing Gmail addresses. For now, our plan is only to issue @googlemail.com addresses to new users. Trust that we will do the best we can to offer all our users a reliable and consistent email experience.
If anyone wonders why the new photo display capabilities aren't handled by iPhoto (it seems odd to have iTunes take care of pictures now), it's because there isn't a PC version of iPhoto.
Apple wants both Mac and PC users to take advantage of the new iPod Photo.
It seems that iTunes is evolving more into iPod Central. Maybe... iiPod!
That is old news at Rochester Institute of Technology http://www.rit.edu/. ITS doesn't allow us to have our own WAPs either in the dorms or in the apartments and they'll shut off our ethernet if they detect it. Didn't stop me from puttin' in an airport extreme.:)
It's to ensure security of their internal networks, they say - don't need non-students somehow gaining access to sensitive info (and there are some info there that only the RIT community can see, like floor maps of every building on campus).
Visitors can use the campus-wide wireless network for up to a certain time and then they must register their laptops with ITS.
Here are a few useful links to the RIT website to learn more about this topic:

While RIT-bashing is one of the most popular activites around here, RIT isn't such a bad place to be at, even if you're a liberal arts major (which I am). They do some pretty neat stuff around here!
This is a great article. As an user with minimal knowledge of Linux, I'm mystified by the sheer array of OS's available for me. What does KDE/RedHat/Gnome have over each other?
It's wise to have everyone rally behind one operating system. That makes it more appealing to the masses. Most PCs have Windows, Macs have OS X, and it's worked superb for both areas.
I run OS X on my iBook, and it is great. However, being an advanced user of THAT, I would definitely be open to installing any other OS on it if I was given the choice.
Give the newbies one operating system, and leave it up to the advanced users to install their own choice of operating systems. Much like Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic run on a scale of price, run RedHat/Gnome/KDe on a scale of usability, learning curve, and availability of advanced options.
All funny comments aside, it's quite a magical experience to just look up in the sky and see the Red Planet shining there. Bathed in marslight, it's a nice reminder of just how our lives and civilization itself pales into insignificance when compared with the slow but steady motions of the heavenly skies.
Beautiful moment, so take off 5 minutes every night or so to stand outside and look upwards towards the stars. Nothing like it.
By the way, I saw a shooting star a few days ago in the northwest sky, anyone know what's up with that?
Wait, I'm confused. You say that chlorophyll involves porphyrins. Then you say, "don't get exposed to direct sunlight when taking these meds."
Are you saying that I can't be exposed to direct sunlight while using chlorophyll? Don't plants do that anyway (not that I'm a fern, but...).

Huh...? Two answers to the same question.

Aim for the stars...and beyond!
I stand corrected; thank you!
