Right. VS.NET rots your brain. So does programming in C++. It hides what's really going on under the hood behind all these "abstractions". Your code quality suffers in the end with all this bloated code. When is everyone going to learn the lesson and go back to assembly?
I made the switch several years ago and I find that although noticeably slower in QWERTY, I can still touch type it. I just have to make a mental switch.
Well actually, if you read carefully my question is directed towards people who have used recruiters to find a JOB. Especially those who established a long term relationship with one. Sort of a career counselor.
Any gaming company that wants to stay a step ahead of the others will probably write the rendering engine in C++ in order to milk the latest and greatest processor.
But the productivity benefit of a managed language probably will entice game developers to write the overall game in a.NET language. This can provide an edge for a company when they can make a game world twice as detailed and large as the competitor.
