At my company, we buy Dell and Dell only. They run fine, except laptops a year ago sometimes needed to have some screws tightent, but other than that, they run like a charm. Service is great also. I have no financial interests in Dell, we just use them. If i would buy a brand computer for home use, it would be a Dell with 3 year NBD on site guarantee (wich is standard).
I thought he was talking about gentoo, until i read the topic.... i don't know about slackware these days, but it sure applies to gentoo. Though i think quick should be lightning-fast.
shooting the man or stealing back your property would not do any good to the economy, in contrary to copyrights, wich allow company's to market their products at absurd prices as long as they are the first (and most of the time not the best) to get them copyrighted.
