    Odd, suv4x4, I completely agree with everything you said excepting:

    I'm not a fan of conspiracy theories...

    I am a fan of conspiracy theories - as I do not believe in fairy tales and am not cognitively impaired. Therefore, when everyone aboard those four planes on 9/11/01 are killed - I know enough to research the passengers' backgrounds and draw logical conclusions - sad to say, something which has become rather unAmerican.....

    Also, I am aware enough to have looked at that next-day satellite photo of the Pentagon (09/12/01) and have noted contradictory evidence to the official story, and know enough to keep current on the released black box data on Flight 77 (video here)

    You have to keep all those many Unitary Executive signing statements Bush included along with every congressional bill he signed - the first time in US history a president signed a bill stating unequivocally he was exempt - clearly unconstitutional - as has everything else been which Bush has done.....

    If Sept. 11 was done by "real terrorists" why hasn't anyone in the Bush Administration ever appeared concerned with apprehending them????

    Instead, he's killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis? Made hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions more, homeless in Iraq and surrounding Arab countries where they have fled to.

    He refused to convene any type of investigative commission, until finally, he was forced to - and even then he underfunded them and refused to allow them sub peona powers.

    And when he spoke before them with his handler Cheney, he refused to testify under oath. Wow, but I'm sure you know best, huh???

    I'll bet you're in the crowd that believes torture works? If so, then WTF is Osama???? Or at least, WTF is he hiding out at??? Guess all that torture doesn't work after all, especially not on innocents.....

    Regarding NSA and "underfunding" - a really crucial point us conspiracy nuts (i.e., informed and educated Americans who've taken - and passed - probability math) like to bring up:

    Immediately after the 9/11/01 attacks, the then-NSA directer, General Hayden (now CIA director), went before the US Congress requesting emergency funds. What were the top two expenditures of said funds? (This is public domain information and easily verifiable.)

    (1) More security guards, and

    (2) Hiring more polygraph examiners (that's lie detector experts, folks).

    Does that really sound like they were involved in some sort of "war on terror" or that political house-cleaning was the order of the day.....

    You might do considerably more reading of history, chum! In all likelihood, if those rogue elements of the CIA had not whacked JFK, he and Kruschev might very well have put a major slowdown, or possibly even a complete halt, to the Cold War - please remember, JFK was about to have a drawdown of the advisors in Vietnam (total when he was in office: 16,000 - originally put there by Eisenhower before him), while after his assassination, 500,000 troops were eventually taking part in Vietnam. Many other items could be cited as well.....

    Outstanding point. Sometime in the last year, the publisher of the Washington Monthly (CIA-funded publication) was described in the news as dying from a boating accident.

    His body was found weighed down in the ocean by an anchor with a shotgun blast to his head --- some "boating accident."

    Well, Roger Staubach was supposed to be intelligent, or the other hand, anyone who has ever spoken at length with former basketball pro Bill Bradley (and oddly enough - given his SAT scores and other indicators, a Rhodes Scholar) would not accuse him of being particularly intelligent, in fact, I was shocked by how utterly ignorant he was. (Sorry, Blll....)

    If Dan Marino was intelligent, he would have been advertising something far more profitable than those stupid gloves (and him a Miami QB, no less).
