Only WWII online could compete for scale, but everytime I try it the UI turns me away.
However, the game is 2+ years old, and is Sony does a horrible job of keeping people interested in their MMOs for the long term. They turn to in-game ads or sequels to keep people playing, instead of making sure the game works well and reacting to player feedback.
Extended Play, filmed in the Sony Metreon Arcade.
That was the first video game review show that I've seen that didn't make fun of gamers for doing what they enjoy. Most (all except x-play) poke fun at gamers while doing their reviews. There's that "God, you people are nerds" attitude. I get that enough in real life that I don't need to take it on TV too.
Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb ARE nerds and don't try to hide it, they flaunt it.
Comcast has released a new channel line-up for 2005 which included a channel dedicated to technology related news and programming.
Sources have released the name of the proposed new channel "TechTV"
Game designers seem to always add cooperative multiplayer in as an afterthought. I play Xbox and PS2 with my buddies and we have been faced with the same problem.
Here are some with potential: Halo - Great, multiplayer right through the story, but needs bots Tenchu 3 - Multiplayer mission are seperate and unlockable Legends of wrestling - Tag team matches (No career mode) Deaththrow - Xbox, unique sports game. Simple rules. Lots of fun Timesplitters 2 - FPS, You and friends can take on loads of bots. Great characters (like a duck and the gingerbread man) Dungeons and Dragons Heroes - Gauntlet, only better (Hopefully) DOA Extreme Volleyball - just for *clears throat* a laugh (Actually, this game is on my "hated it" list for not having 4 player multiplayer. Would have been great with that simple addition.)
Any sports game, as long as you have friends that know the sport. Playing sports games when nobody knows what's going on is a waste of time.
For the best social gaming, you can't beat Fuzion Frenzy on Xbox, or Super Monkey Ball 2 on Game Cube. Simple to learn and lots of fun, Everyone gets involved.
I've played PS for the last 2 years (on and off) and it is far from boring.
I like to call it genre building:

If only ArenaNet would create an MMORPG...

So, is Soundstorm gone for good?
